Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer, Network Health Systems

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Network Health Engineering team in Sydney.

This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the platform that determines the health of AWS's global network and provides critical information to core network systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of best-in-class software systems for automating Amazon's network
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to manage day-to-day development activities, including architecture decisions, design review, code review, and implementation
  • Communicate with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
