Cloud Data Engineer Role

This is a senior position in our team, providing operational support to customers and ad-hoc consulting/small project services.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to support and further build out our Cloud Managed Services offering.

  • Previous exposure to Microsoft and Azure platforms (ADF, Synapse, Databricks etc.)
  • Assistance in improving and governing data operations processes
  • Assist with presales processes and proposing Cloud data services that meet customer needs
  • Performing Cloud Data Managed Services tasks in alignment with ITIL and DevOps
  • Providing consulting services to customers on ad-hoc consulting engagements
  • Building new and enhancing existing data solutions for customers

Key Requirements:

We require someone with strong technical skills, including knowledge of PySpark, Python, SparkSQL, or T-SQL, and experience in supporting, developing, and delivering data models. Familiarity with DevOps practices, release pipelines, branching strategies, and Git is also essential. Ideally, you will have hands-on experience with ADF, SQL and Databricks CI/CD.

In addition, we are looking for someone who has experience working with external customer bases, preferably in a consulting capacity, and can build strong relationships with varied stakeholders. A proactive mindset, demonstrating initiative and creative problem-solving is a must.

Experience with RBAC or other identity models/controls, AML and Python SDK v2 would be highly beneficial.
