Job Title: Rail Possession Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Rail Possession Coordinator. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing rail possessions and associated staging works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Plan and coordinate rail possessions and related activities\
  • Manage resources and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards\
  • Lead the management of the Works Readiness process and ensure that T-minus Stage Gates are achieved\
  • Coordinate with Network Safety and Operations teams to ensure possession access requirements are correctly represented and submitted\
  • Maintain accurate records of possession arrangements\
  • Proactively deliver track access and operational interface elements of projects within timescales during both planning and implementation\
  • Ensure engineering access timescales and critical milestones are met\
  • Produce and book robust, safe, deliverable & technically compliant possessions, worksites, signalling disconnections and electrical isolations\
  • Book engineering and test trains as required\
  • Attend Public Transport Authority possession / territory meetings to ensure appropriate de-confliction of works and access is obtained\
  • Book / confirm appropriate possession resources\
  • Resolve possession / Worksite conflicts to deliver the plan while minimising commercial risk\
  • Identify possession / engineering access risks and implement mitigation risks throughout the possession lifecycle\
  • Produce Access Plan and a Safety Management Plan (or Safe Work Method Statement) material and submit to PTA within timescales\
  • Negotiate with PTA, Train and Freight Operating Companies for disruptive/enhanced possessions and access to PTA and third party owned depots / yards\
  • Support submission of tender documentation, ensuring that possession, isolation and signalling disconnection strategies are identified and secured\
  • Provide professional advice from an operations / engineering access viewpoint\
