Job Title: Fleet Logistics Manager

Description

Purina is seeking an experienced transport professional to oversee the efficient allocation of equipment and resources for seamless inbound and outbound processes. As a key player, you will ensure timely planning, monitor vehicle load weights and driver fatigue laws, and maximize truck space utilization.

  • Timely planning to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain compliance with vehicle load weights and driver fatigue regulations
  • Ensure on-time deliveries
  • Optimize truck space utilization
  • Develop and implement dispatch plans for exports
  • Receive and process customer orders
  • Document all operational activities
  • Create local and export load plans
  • Verify weight limitations of truck loads
  • Enter data into operations documents
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation
  • Update Woolworths orders in the Transportation Management System (TMS) daily

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate and coach individuals at all levels, and a drive to achieve results. You should also have:

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, including electronic Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Customer service orientation
  • Understanding of supply chain relationships and the role of a distribution center in delivering high customer service standards
  • Project management skills, specifically in smaller scope projects
  • Experience in return-to-work and injury management
  • Ability to effectively manage contractors
