Library Operations Manager

This is a challenging senior leadership role within the library network, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service through staff support and development. The ideal candidate will lead the delivery of customer service processes and services that meet the changing needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead and manage a team of Customer Service and Branch staff to develop and deliver quality services to internal and external customers
  • To plan and deliver the library's strategic, financial, workforce, information and communications technology and operational plans
  • To draft and contribute to policy development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

The successful applicant will have experience in leading staff teams, resolving customer issues, and providing quality customer services. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to identify and evaluate training needs of staff and develop and implement training programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completion of degree or Post Graduate level library and information studies
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Experience in public libraries, including at a supervisory level
  • Demonstrated ability to activate branch libraries with innovative and community inclusive programming
