Role Overview

The King's College is a Pre-kindergarten to Year 12 coeducational institution, situated in Wellard. We have a current student enrolment of approximately 900 students and are growing in size.

A new Primary School was opened in Term 1, 2024, further expanding our facilities and opportunities for students. The College is a ministry of The King's Chapel and has been providing quality education in the area since 1986. Our vision is to deliver a Christian education and equip our students with the skills to succeed.

As an English teacher, you will join our successful English department and contribute to delivering academic programs that cater to a wide range of student needs. This role commences in Term 1, 2025, and we encourage applications from both graduates and experienced English teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement differentiated academic programs to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, families, and team members.
  • Promote the College within the community and surrounding districts.
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal communication.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification and current registration with the relevant authority.

Requirements

  • Be a committed Christian, sharing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Adhere to the Staff Code of Conduct and Child Safe Policy.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills to enable professional interaction with a range of people.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
