Job Title: Technical Specialist Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist Officer to join our team at Charles Sturt University. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for radio broadcast operations, including studio and automation playout systems, transmission encoding and delivery, audio over IP technologies, and non-linear audio production workflows.

About the Role

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for up to 2 years, with a salary range of $89,345 to $96,639 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. The successful candidate will be based in Bathurst and will be required to work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality broadcast and media solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support for radio broadcast operations, including studio and automation playout systems, transmission encoding and delivery, audio over IP technologies, and non-linear audio production workflows.
  • Monitor, support, and maintain broadcast systems to ensure continuity of service.
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality broadcast and media solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and processes to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated technical experience in radio broadcast technology, information technology, media of an IP Network, and digital audio production workflows.
  • Ability to multitask while managing competing demands in the delivery and provision of complex technical services.
  • Ability to learn new systems, technologies, and processes.
  • Demonstrated analytical, planning, and coordination capability.
