About the Role

We are seeking an experienced early childhood leader to champion exceptional quality and safety standards across a portfolio of five centres. As our Area Manager, you will lead child safety initiatives, drive quality excellence, develop leaders, ensure compliance, and support growth.

This is a key leadership role that requires a deep understanding of child development and safety principles, as well as experience in managing centre directors across multiple sites.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Child Safety: Maintain robust protection systems, mandatory reporting protocols, and a safety-first culture across all five centres.
  • Drive Quality Excellence: Ensure consistent implementation of National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework, with our sector-leading educational program.
  • Develop Leaders: Mentor Centre Directors through coaching, weekly connection meetings, and professional development focused on quality practice and child safety.
  • Ensure Compliance: Monitor regulatory frameworks, lead incident management, and collaborate with our Safety & Risk team on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support Growth: Develop innovative approaches that enhance educational outcomes while maintaining sustainable, high-quality operations.
What You'll Bring
  • Early Childhood Expertise: Extensive experience in early childhood education sector with deep understanding of child development and safety principles (essential).
  • Multi-Site Leadership: Proven track record as a Nominated Supervisor, Centre Director, or managing Centre Directors across multiple centres.
  • Quality & Safety Focus: Demonstrated experience turning around challenged centres with emphasis on quality improvement and safety enhancement.
  • Child Protection Knowledge: Strong understanding of mandatory reporting obligations, child safety frameworks, and incident management.
  • Regulatory Excellence: Comprehensive experience with Assessment & Rating processes and National Quality Standards implementation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood or relevant field.
  • Working with Children Clearance.
  • Valid driver's licence.
