Curtin University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Excellence and Impact Partner. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in driving research excellence and embedding a culture of impact across the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Associate Director, Research and Lead to create and implement excellence and impact strategies that maximize research impact at various levels within the University.
  • Provide Advisory Services: Offer expert advice and recommendations on excellence and impact strategies to enhance awareness of external opportunities across the University community throughout the research lifecycle.
  • Facilitate Training and Development: Develop and coordinate training activities, including guidance notes and workshops, to support researchers in identifying, communicating, and delivering research impact effectively. Support researchers to develop strong impact case studies.
  • Manage Policies and Systems: Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures that support the dissemination and assessment of research excellence and impact.
  • Data Capture and Reporting: Collaborate and facilitate data capture and evidence collection related to Engagement and Impact.
  • Strategic Co-ordination of Research Award Nominations: Liaise with key senior staff to identify suitable candidates for research awards and coordinate the preparation of nominations.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of research excellence and impact in the higher education sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Prior demonstrable experience in research management, impact assessment, or related roles in higher education.
  • In-depth knowledge of Engagement and Impact (EI) frameworks, as well as current trends in research excellence and impact.
