Senior Tax Advisor Role

Melbourne-based law firm is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Senior Tax Advisor to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to step into a senior client-facing role, contribute to complex tax matters and develop under expert mentorship in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years' post-qualification experience in tax law, with exposure to both Federal and State tax issues. They will also possess strong analytical and drafting skills, as well as a proactive mindset and commitment to delivering commercial, client-focused advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert tax advice to clients across a range of industries
  • Contribute to the development of complex tax strategies and structures
  • Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and deliver practical solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years' PQE in tax law (private practice or in-house)
  • Exposure to both Federal and State tax issues (income tax, CGT, GST, stamp duty, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to delivering commercial, client-focused advice
  • Client focused approach with strong written and verbal communication
