Program Overview- This is a permanent full-time position that will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to succeed as a mining engineer.
You will participate in a 2-year Graduate Program with tailored mentoring, technical development, and role-specific training. You will gain practical underground experience required for the First Class Mine Managers Certificate and work collaboratively with seasoned professionals to develop highly sought-after mining skills.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Participate in a rotational experience across multiple mine sites, including Westgold's six underground mines and four processing plants in the Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions.
- Gain practical underground experience required for the First Class Mine Managers Certificate.
- Collaborate with seasoned professionals to develop highly sought-after mining skills.
- Work an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster based in Perth.
- Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering.
- Practical experience or vacation work is advantageous.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of operation.
- A current and valid Manual Driver's Licence.
- A National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months.
- The ability to pass Westgold's pre-employment process, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, and right to work checks.
- Permanent full-time position at a successful gold producer.
