Principal Software Engineer - AI Innovator

About the Role

We're seeking an exceptional Principal Software Engineer to drive innovation and excellence in software engineering. You will work closely with emerging technologies to support our strategy through world-class engineering capability.

Job Description

As a key member of our Business Banking Technology team, you will be responsible for tackling complex problems from technical design to production, delegating tasks to squad members, and partnering effectively with engineering squads across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver large-scale, complex engineering initiatives
  • Expertise in AI/ML and Gen AI applications, enhancing software engineering processes to improve productivity
  • Experience building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, or C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure)
  • A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily use of AI coding assistants

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require a proven track record of leadership, expertise in AI/ML and Gen AI, and experience with building RAGs and microservices architecture. Additionally, you should have a keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily use of AI coding assistants.
