Primary Care Innovator

The Implementation Scientist plays a pivotal role in enhancing primary care for child health by effectively implementing interventions to align general practitioner services with best practice guidelines.
This position requires close collaboration with expert advisory groups, including consumer representatives, and Primary Healthcare Networks and General Practices.
- Bring the evidence base up to date by reviewing and synthesizing existing research.
- Coordinate the co-design of interventions and development of resource materials that cater to diverse healthcare stakeholders.
- Pilot and refine the intervention through iterative testing and evaluation.
- Roll-out the intervention as part of a demonstration program, ensuring seamless implementation across various sites.
- Assist with the evaluation of implementation fidelity and program outcomes, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Develop and promulgate tools for scaling up the program, ensuring widespread adoption and impact.
This position demands strong research skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. The successful candidate will be based at Macquarie University and required to travel to research sites, including interstate, for up to one week at a time.
Requirements and Qualifications- PhD in a relevant discipline, demonstrating expertise in the field.
- Proven understanding of the Australian health system, including its complexities and nuances.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder teamwork, with a focus on building effective relationships and fostering collaborative environments.
- Capacity to contribute to academic life and administrative duties, ensuring seamless integration with the Centre and Institute's operations.
