Transforming Energy Systems

We are seeking a senior energy systems design specialist to join our team. As a senior engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our team's designs for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting and leading detailed designs and technical reports for clients, including primary and secondary substation systems.
  • Developing and optimising designs for substations to meet client needs, working closely with civil and mechanical engineers.
  • Collaborating with our engineering team to undertake studies and develop designs for high-voltage primary systems and secondary protection control systems.
  • Producing single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layouts, equipment/materials lists, clearance checks, and substation/control room layouts as defined with technical engineering calculations.
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant Australian and local regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or related engineering.
  • Experience in high-voltage projects in Western Australia and/or the Northern Territory, preferably as a consultant, developer, owner, or contractor in the energy and/or mining or resources sector.
  • Knowledge of transmission and distribution industry standards and codes in Australia, and/or design experience with Australian electrical utilities.
  • Strong technical capability and report-writing skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership skills, including influencing, motivation, and delegation skills, with the ability to work effectively within technical teams.
