At Square, we're working to build a more inclusive economy where our customers have equal access to opportunity. As a Compliance Quality Control Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our compliance team is operating efficiently and effectively.

The mission of the Square Compliance Quality Control (QC) team is to provide timely and encouraging feedback on decision-making, while highlighting opportunities for improvement. You'll focus on QC reviews of Japan and Australia Compliance cases, providing training, identifying gaps, and recommending enhancements to global Compliance procedures.

This is a remote position from Australia or Japan, requiring non-traditional work hours across international time zones. If you're passionate about working with diverse teams and have experience in AML/Compliance, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role
  • You will sample a wide range of decisions arising from compliance-related alerts
  • Recognize patterns by evaluating data to make constructive observations to highlight gaps, develop procedures, and conduct training to support consistency
  • Provide ongoing quality coaching
  • Collaborate with leads to recommend enhancements to policy and procedures
  • Respond to QC escalations, disputes, and inquiries

To succeed in this role, you'll need native-level proficiency in written and spoken Japanese, 2+ years of experience in the AML/Compliance space in either Japan or Australia, and strong analytical skills. Bonus points if you have experience delivering training and feedback to individuals.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
