Job Overview:

Kitchen Support Experts play a pivotal role in providing operational support to various hotel functions. These associates may work across departments to provide assistance with cleaning and basic kitchen preparation needs, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines, focusing on attention to detail and culinary excellence.
  • Follow a comprehensive food preparation checklist and establish priority items to ensure efficient service periods.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use, maintaining high standards of food safety and handling.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto suitable receptacles, adhering to presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that exceeds guest expectations, promoting customer satisfaction.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, upholding the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Maintain strong food safety and property standards, adhering to regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You must have a Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification.
  • You should have passion for the industry and a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • You should have relevant experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • You must have working rights in Australia and be able to commit to regular shifts.
  • You should be enthusiastic about escalating your career, with a growth mindset.
