Executive Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Job2Go Pty Ltd. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the kitchen team to achieve high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our business objectives.
• Ensure the kitchen is run efficiently and effectively, with a focus on cost control and inventory management.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and control food costs, ensuring that they are within budget.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and service.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and implement new ideas and innovations in the kitchen.

Requirements:

• Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field.
• At least three (4) years of relevant experience as a Chef or equivalent role.
• Computer literate and understanding of relevant software.
• Knowledge and understanding of running a kitchen.
• Understanding of financial reports.
• High level of industry awards and industrial matters.
• Understanding of marketing and promotions.
• Ability to train apprentices in all areas of their trade.
• Good at putting systems and structures into place.
• Can communicate with function coordinators and management.
• Solid skills in menu design and execution.
• Good leader and knows how to mentor staff.

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrate an ability to assume management functions.
• Demonstrate an ability to understand and enforce appropriate Legislation in regard to the health requirements of the local council.
• Demonstrate an ability to assist if required to create, cost and develop menus.
• Demonstrate an ability to maintain accurate records in all kitchen reporting.
• Demonstrate an ability to communicate with staff, provide leadership and to promote a team environment.
