Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Job2Go Pty Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our business objectives.
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to a consistently high standard and presented in an appealing manner.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and ensure that it is in good working order.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure that all food products are prepared and handled in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget.
  • Team Leadership
    • Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff to ensure that they are working effectively and efficiently.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field.
    • At least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • Experience
    • At least three (4) years of relevant experience as a Chef or equivalent role.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Computer literate and understanding of relevant software.
    • Knowledge and understanding of running a kitchen.
    • Understanding of financial reports.
    • High level of industry awards and industrial matters.
    • Understanding of marketing and promotions.
    • Ability to train apprentices in all areas of their trade.
    • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
