Seeking an experienced Education Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of educational programs.

  • The successful candidate will work closely with academic staff to design, implement and assess educational programs for medical and health professionals.
  • Key responsibilities include supporting the lead in curriculum development, coordinating assessments and providing administrative leadership to a team of education professionals.
  • The ideal candidate will have a medical degree, experience in curriculum design and delivery, strong leadership skills and proficiency in educational technology.
  • We are seeking someone who can work collaboratively, communicate effectively and provide high-quality training to colleagues.

About the Role

This position involves working closely with colleagues across campuses to ensure high-quality communication and clinical skills training throughout the program. The successful candidate will be required to conduct teaching duties as per university policy and participate in relevant committees and groups.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the lead in curriculum development and implementation for the program.
  2. Lead the implementation of the education domain in Fremantle, managing academic staff and training clinical educators and tutors.
  3. Collaborate with other Domain Leads and assessment teams to ensure learning objectives are appropriately assessed and integrated.
  4. Develop and mark examinations, including writing assessment questions and setting standards.
  5. Coordinate and manage clinical exams (OSCEs) across the program in Fremantle.
  6. Provide administrative leadership to the education domain team in Fremantle.
  7. Conduct teaching duties as per university policy.
  8. Participate in relevant committees and groups as required.

Requirements

  1. Medical degree registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship in Medicine, Health, Medical Education or a PhD, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (>5 years).
  2. Experience in curriculum design, delivery and assessment in medical or health education, preferably in a tertiary setting.
  3. Strong leadership, organizational and project management skills, with experience in clinical and OSCE examinations desirable.
  4. Experience in evidence-based clinical skills teaching at Masters level or higher.
  5. Excellent teamwork, communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction across various staff and environments.
  6. Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
