About Your New Role:

As a Disability Support Worker with Dereka-Jo Williams in Logan Reserve, you'll play a crucial part in delivering exceptional care and innovative strategies to help customers overcome daily challenges and reach their full potential. Each day will be unique, but shifts may include assistance with personal care, household duties, cooking and medication management. Above all, you will provide companionship and build meaningful, caring relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • You will assist customers with complex needs in In-Home Supports, Supported Independent Living, Clinical Settings, and Community Access.
  • You have experience in manual handling and providing personal care including bathing, toileting and dressing
  • You maintain effective communication and strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You have extensive experience working with complex support needs, implementing Positive Behavioural Support Plans, and handling mental health challenges.
  • You can prioritise workloads and respond to emergent situations with ease.
  • You are flexible and can work across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and overnights.
About You:

We are looking for an individual who excels in complex support environments and has the following skills:

  • Experience in In-Home Supports, Supported Independent Living, Clinical Settings, and Community Access.
  • Manual handling and personal care skills, including bathing, toileting and dressing.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Extensive experience working with complex support needs and Positive Behavioural Support Plans.
  • Prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need or be willing to obtain:

  • A current Open Driver's Licence.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • 1 year experience in the Disability Sector providing services to individuals with high-complex needs.
Estimated Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
