Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Allied Health professional to deliver a newly established wellbeing program for community youth justice.
- This is a two-year, fixed-term opportunity available part-time or full-time.
- The successful candidate will be working with a professional and supportive team who are invested in their development.
- Frequent travel to statewide service centres to partner with the YJ Community Staff is required.
About the Role
- Deliver psychological first aid in response to critical incidents for Youth Justice Community staff, in individual and group contexts.
- Develop strategies to improve staff health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement effective wellbeing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the YJ Community Staff to deliver the newly established wellbeing program.
- Travel frequently to statewide service centres to support programme delivery.
- Embed a culture of proactive intervention across Community Youth Justice.
- Conduct regular evaluations of programme effectiveness.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level in mental health and wellbeing support.
- Significant experience in assessment, treatment and behaviour intervention models with complex populations.
- Experience facilitating supervision or reflective practice in high-risk environments.
- Extensive experience in delivering operational outcomes.
- Capacity to work with a multi-disciplined team of professionals.
- Hold registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
