Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Installation Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and test Next Generation 911 equipment at customer locations across Australia.
  • Perform site surveys, asset management, and deployment of infrastructure assets to various site locations.
  • Configure software on end-user devices using established guidelines and requirements.
  • Install and configure Windows Servers, Linux Servers, and other proprietary systems necessary for system operation.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Travel to backup centers and remote Public Safety Answering Points as required.
  • Document actions taken and resolutions in trouble tickets.
  • Perform system upgrades and maintain current hardware and software configurations.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of VoIP, IP Networking, and Telephony.
  • Deep understanding of LAN and WAN Network Protocols, Firewalls, VPN protocols, and communication methods.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of hardware and software, including Cisco equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Windows and Linux-based systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standard practices and policies for equipment and power.
  • PBX knowledge/experience.
  • Maintenance of up-to-date training and education on new technologies and methodologies.
Experience and Education
  • At least 5 years of experience in network management and customer service.
  • University degree in Telecommunications, Network Technology, or Engineering.
