Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our facilities, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning properly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Assist in the decision-making process for equipment maintenance and repairs, and manage work orders for preventive maintenance.
  • Act as a technical representative for facilities projects, providing expertise and guidance to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Schedule training and in-service programs for maintenance personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, maintaining a high level of expertise in maintenance and facilities management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Universal Building Code, National Fire Code, and OSHA standards.
  • Manage budgets and cost estimates for maintenance projects, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on maintenance activities and plans.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, with a strong background in supervisory roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondence.
