The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Quality Control and Technical Services teams, with a focus on performance goals, industry standards, and continuous improvement.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee laboratory budgets, capital expenses, and operational costs, collaborating with senior management to identify needs and prepare justifications.
  • Ensure the maintenance, calibration, and optimal functionality of all laboratory equipment and infrastructure.
  • Drive quality processes, such as measurement system analysis and round robin testing, to ensure accurate results.
  • Maintain laboratory quality and environmental systems in compliance with industry standards and certifications.
  • Enforce company policies related to staff discipline, occupational health & safety, quality, and environmental practices.
  • Manage investigations and implement corrective actions for quality or compliance issues.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identifying training and development opportunities to nurture a high-performing team.
  • Provide expert technical support to internal teams and external clients, addressing technical queries.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent qualification.
  • Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in laboratory software and systems.
  • Proven experience in laboratory data analysis, quality control, and technical services.
