About Our Role

The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Person-First Leisure Programs in residential settings.

Manage a team of Activity Officers promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation through person-first recreational activities that promote holistic wellbeing, including providing residents with quality care and actively supporting them to maintain skill levels, independence and mobility.

Oversee the Person-First Leisure Program and manage a team of Activity Officers. Perform the role of Activity Officer alongside other staff members within the residential setting.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage Activity Officers with excellent leadership skills.
  • Provide residents with quality care and support their families/carers.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and organise recreational activity programs.
  • Evaluate individual resident's needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences when providing care.
  • Complete assessments determining capabilities, needs and problems.
  • Comply with infection control and work health and safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Desirable: Certificate IV in Leisure or equivalent qualification.
  • Highly regarded: previous experience working with older adults in a residential care setting.
  • Developed organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
