Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment, wastewater management, and maintenance.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining and monitoring the water treatment plant, pump stations, reservoirs and water reticulation assets. Additionally, you will operate, maintain and monitor sewage treatment plants, sewage pump stations and sewer reticulation assets. You will also participate in the construction and repair of water reticulation and sewer reticulation assets, carry out water quality tests and keep accurate records of results, and assist with any other tasks related to the Water and Wastewater Section.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of water treatment and wastewater management principles. You will also require excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A Certificate III or higher in Water Operations or a related field would be highly regarded.

Benefits:

This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $56,906.20 - $65,534.04 per annum plus 12% superannuation. You will also receive access to six weeks' annual leave, two weeks' sick leave, and an additional three days of health and wellbeing leave.
