About North East Link Project

The North East Link project is a major infrastructure initiative that will transform the way people move around Melbourne. It involves building Victoria's longest road tunnels, fixing the missing link in our freeway network, and reducing travel times by up to 35 minutes.

We'll also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough, overhaul the Eastern Freeway, build Melbourne's first dedicated busway and the North East Trail - over 34km of walking and cycling paths.

About the Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to work on a high-profile project, coordinating engagement with local communities, stakeholders, and traders. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering effective communication strategies, ensuring that materials are clear and concise.

You'll work closely with our team to manage community and stakeholder issues, public enquiries, and presentations. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically will be essential in this role.

A key aspect of the job is interacting with project delivery teams to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration. You'll also contribute to a positive, open culture that values and supports others.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience as a communications professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and issue management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Relevant qualifications in communications, public relations, media or public policy discipline
