We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to shape our high-quality disability support services.
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for fostering an organisational culture that delivers high-quality and safe services to our participants.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting Quality and Compliance: Assist in implementing our quality management systems, records, and internal audits to ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Driving Frontline Quality: Proactively engage with teams across various locations to conduct frontline quality and risk audits, collecting and analysing crucial data.
- WHS Oversight: Oversee and manage all aspects of Work Health and Safety (WHS) notifications, incidents, and near misses, assisting with investigations under the guidance of the Audit & Risk Manager.
- Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative support for quality assurance, audit monitoring, and preparation for external audits and accreditations.
- A basic understanding of disability support needs, familiarity with the NDIS, Quality and Safeguarding Framework, and a basic grasp of Human Rights.
- Knowledge of Office Children Guardian compliance, child safe standards, and Australian Work Health Safety Legislation.
- Familiarity with risk management fundamentals, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with developing skills in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
- A willingness to engage in challenging discussions and inspire confidence, alongside basic critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a high degree of integrity and a strong customer focus, with a willingness to learn basic numerical proficiency and data analysis.
- A current NSW Driver's licence The ability to obtain and maintain a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) The ability to obtain and maintain a National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
- Minimum Certificate III in Work Health and Safety, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in healthcare, community, or non-profit organisations is desirable.
- Previous experience in a WHS-related role Essential requirements of the role
