We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as an Electorate Officer in the Currumbin electorate. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with State Member Mrs Laura Gerber MP, providing direct support and ensuring the smooth operation of the electorate office.

**Job Description:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the Member, including diary management, staff supervision, and primary inbox management;
  • Supporting and engaging with constituents and community groups, building strong relationships and networks;
  • Advising the Member on local and state-wide issues, utilizing research skills and staying up-to-date on relevant policies and procedures;

**Key Responsibilities:**

The Electorate Officer will oversee the Member's diary, making appointments and arrangements for meetings, events, and other activities. They will also manage the daily operational matters of the electorate office, including financial obligations and social media management.

**Requirements:**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high level of organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date on relevant policies and procedures;
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with constituents and community groups;
