Senior Medical Officer - Women's Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our dynamic Senior Medical Team at Mediix. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care in women's health and contributing to the mission of providing outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based, best practice clinical services to achieve optimal patient outcomes in obstetrics and gynaecology.
  • Supervise, train, and develop junior medical staff to ensure safe and effective clinical practice.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services, maintaining high standards of care and adherence to our values.
  • Liaise with other specialists and general practitioners to optimize patient care and enhance service delivery.
  • Actively participate in risk management and quality programs, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent specialist pathways.
  • Mandatory qualifications include:
    • Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP): Level 3 full course
    • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation (ANR)
    • Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training (PROMPT)
    • Advanced Life Support 2 (ALS2) full
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to risk management, clinical governance, and safety.
  • Proven ability to deliver safe, high-quality customer service, with a focus on workplace equity and injury prevention.
