Opportunity for Primary Educators

We invite expressions of interest from qualified primary educators for sessional teaching roles across our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs at Bachelor and Master levels.
Sessional teaching involves a minimum commitment of approximately 9 hours per week, encompassing class delivery, preparation, and assessment. Teaching may be conducted in person or online in real time, with day and evening classes offered across Melbourne metropolitan locations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver ITE units to pre-service teachers
- Teach in a range of formats, including face-to-face, blended, block, and online real-time modes
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment
- Collaborate with fellow sessional and ongoing academic staff
- Recent classroom experience in the primary education sector
- VIT registration or a current Working with Children Check
- Proficiency in using educational technology
- Specialisation in literacy, numeracy, and/or inclusive education
- Experience with phonics-based instructional approaches
