Key Responsibilities
The Superintendent for Concentrator Projects will lead a multidisciplinary team in the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects while developing strategies aligned with our business objectives.
This role requires collaboration across all organizational levels to ensure effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and risk management throughout project delivery. The successful candidate will oversee a professional team, including mechanical and electrical engineers, and project supervisors. This is a permanent position based in Queensland, with a lifestyle roster that supports work-life balance.
Primary Duties Include:
- Fostering strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Promoting a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Planning and resourcing project activities while addressing stakeholder needs.
- Communicating the annual capital portfolio and formulating strategies for future initiatives.
- Leading a team to provide project support and technical guidance to Concentrator departments.
- Managing team performance, career development, and succession planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills focused on capital project delivery.
- Ability to operate strategically and operationally, articulating a clear vision through procedures and stakeholder management.
- Extensive experience in planning and executing capital projects.
- Strong project management expertise and strategy development capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse operational stakeholders.
- Clear and open communication with internal and external parties.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field. RPEQ qualification preferred.
- 7-10 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing capital project delivery.
