About this position:

This role involves maintaining the grounds of a small school community with a strong focus on learning.

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing minor landscaping work, maintaining clean and tidy school grounds, routine trade and non-trade maintenance and repairs, and providing feedback into planning, preparing and development of school grounds.

Additionally, they will be required to manage inventory for grounds supplies and materials, assist with setting up significant school events, and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Minor landscaping work including mowing lawns, pruning trees and plants, and weeding gardens">
  • Maintaining clean and tidy school grounds including sweeping paths, cleaning litter, and ensuring that facilities are in good condition">
  • Routine trade and non-trade maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting">
  • Providing feedback into planning, preparing and development of school grounds including suggesting improvements and identifying areas for enhancement">
  • Inventory management for grounds supplies and materials including ordering and storing equipment, tools, and consumables">
  • Assisting with setting up significant school events including installing marquees, setting up stages, and arranging seating">
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements including following procedures, using personal protective equipment, and reporting incidents">
