Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our property maintenance team as a Grounds Maintenance Assistant. This part-time position involves maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of our school grounds, including minor landscaping work, routine trade and non-trade maintenance, and repairs.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Perform minor landscaping tasks, including gardening and groundkeeping
  • Maintain clean and tidy school grounds, including disposing of waste and cleaning facilities
  • Carry out routine trade and non-trade maintenance and repairs, including fixing equipment and performing general upkeep
  • Provide feedback on the planning, preparation, and development of school grounds
  • Assist with inventory management for grounds supplies and materials
  • Support with setting up significant school events
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements

 

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • An authentic Christian who lives out their faith and attends church regularly
  • A genuine friendly person with good interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Reliability and punctuality to ensure timely service
  • Experience in groundskeeping in a school environment is desirable
