Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy military vehicles.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining light, medium, and heavy vehicles.

Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License is required along with a Defence Security Clearance.

About the Role:

  1. Conduct technical inspections and classification of heavy vehicles.
  2. Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  3. Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts.
  4. Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs.
  5. Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
  6. Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
