Job Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure.

The team supports all AWS data centers and equipment, ensuring customers have continuous access to innovation.

You will work with engineers and managers to develop solutions for the physical layer.

Responsibilities include developing pathway, space, and cabling designs, as well as specifications for construction and permitting.

You'll collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to define product requirements and explore emerging technologies.

  • Deliver scalable fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications on time.
  • Review and approve ICT pathway, cabling, and equipment submittals.
  • Identify and respond to high-priority issues rapidly and effectively.
  • Support new technology and design activities that improve infrastructure quality, reduce costs, and installation time.
  • Travel 20%+ to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS' Data Centers.

About the Engineering Team

You'll be part of a global engineering team consisting of Architects, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Security, and Control Engineers.
