The Opportunity

We are expanding our operations and seeking a skilled Dock Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the efficiency of our loading dock and pick floor areas. This role involves coordinating inbound and outbound orders, overseeing a small team, and utilizing warehouse management systems to optimize procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  2. Oversee the operations of a small team in the absence of the supervisor, providing guidance and support as needed.
  3. Allocate labor and prioritize orders to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  4. Assess and resolve issues related to transportation, picking, customer resolution, and import/export.
  5. Utilize warehouse management systems to optimize procedures and improve overall performance.
  6. Provide logistical support for daily shipments, including verifying safety procedures and overseeing quality assurance.
  7. Arrange stocking of resources and materials to process orders.
  8. Communicate with the operations team to ensure space for loading and unloading.
  9. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, including moving and unstacking pallets, loading and unloading trucks.
  10. Proactively identify and resolve issues before they occur.
  11. Perform broad logistical activities, utilizing production equipment as needed.
  12. Oversee stock adjustments and damages.

Requirements

  1. At least 3 years' experience in the supply chain industry.
  2. Previous leadership experience is highly advantageous.
  3. Knowledge of logistical and planning processes and systems.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  5. Inventory and stock handling experience.
  6. Attention to detail, identifying order discrepancies and product deficiencies.
  7. The ability to work in a cold storage environment.
  8. A Forklift license is essential for this position.
