The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Wound Management role is responsible for providing expert wound management advice and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. This includes developing and implementing evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols for wound care, conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with complex wounds, and developing individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert wound management advice and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols for wound care
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex wounds and develop individualized care plans
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care services

Requirements

  • Division 1 Registered Nurse with post-registration qualification relevant to specialty
  • At least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their postgraduate qualification
  • Advanced level of knowledge and skill related to wound management
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement changes to improve clinical service delivery and outcomes
