Postdoctoral Researcher in Blast Furnace Modelling

The School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join their research team. This role offers the chance to enhance your research skills by working on specific projects related to blast furnace modelling. In this role, your research will focus on CFD-DEM modelling of low-carbon blast furnace ironmaking.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Develop and implement CFD-DEM models for blast furnace ironmaking.
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations.
- Supervise HDR students and contribute to the development of the research team.

- A PhD in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related area.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated track record of high-impact publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
