Key Role Summary

The role of a Feral Animal Education Team Leader is to lead and manage the implementation of feral animal education and control projects and programs. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring high performance standards are met.

This leadership position requires strong skills to build and manage a team focused on reducing the impacts of feral animals on the community.

To be successful, you will possess a bachelor's degree related to Natural Resource Management, Environmental Health or tertiary qualifications and/or significant relevant industry experience relating to pest animal control principles, techniques and best practice.

  • Liaise with stakeholders including community members, staff, and external parties to ensure timely delivery of projects and services.
  • Develop and contribute specialist knowledge to strategies, policies and reports on current and emerging issues relevant to feral animal education and control.
  • Provide leadership that supports a culture of diversity, inclusion and employee engagement.

A requirement of this role is the ability to undertake the Group Licence Holder role to manage firearms, as well as being available for on-call roster/out of hours demands relating to feral animal response.

The successful candidate will also require physical agility and fitness level to perform the duties of the role.

Appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment and a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
