Perioperative Nurse Specialist

Job Description

As a Perioperative Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality post-anaesthetic care to our patients. You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing patients' condition during recovery, responding promptly to changes, and administering medications and pain management interventions as prescribed.

Collaboration with anaesthetists, surgeons, and the wider perioperative team is essential to ensure continuity of care. Your ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, combined with your commitment to patient-centred care and safety, makes you an ideal candidate for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in Recovery/PACU or Critical Care is essential.
  • Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills are crucial.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and education is highly valued.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is desirable.
