About the Role

DroneShield Group Pty Ltd, a leading innovator in drone detection and security solutions, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join their Sydney-based team.

This exciting opportunity allows the successful candidate to contribute to the development of secure software applications and systems that protect against drone threats. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust security frameworks and architectures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or a related field, with significant experience in application security, threat modeling, and penetration testing. You will possess excellent technical expertise in modern security practices, including Secure Coding, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security architectures and frameworks for production applications and platforms.
  • Design and implement advanced security features, such as access control, encryption, and anomaly detection.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and sales, to ensure alignment on security requirements and priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into our security strategies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in application security, threat modeling, and penetration testing.
  • Strong understanding of modern security practices, including Secure Coding, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud security, containerization, and orchestration tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
