About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop team in Canberra (Hume) depot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles, including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.

With a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction, you will work closely with our Workshop Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency are maintained.

About You
  • Hold trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Have a good understanding of HR and forklift operations (preferred but not essential)
  • Be able to work well individually and as part of a team, with a focus on building strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service
