Chief Pastoral Care Leader

This position entails leading the wellbeing strategy for students and staff, fostering a culture of care.
Key Responsibilities- Foster student development through partnership with families, collaboration with staff, and liaison with external agencies to ensure a supportive environment.
- Develop wellbeing programs aligned with school values, support staff in effective management, and respond to wellbeing concerns with compassion.
This role is accountable to the Head of Junior School and ultimately to the College Principal.
Occupational Requirements & Qualifications- Be a registered teacher in Queensland.
- Have extensive experience in primary schools.
- Hold expertise in Child Safety and Wellbeing legislation.
- Demonstrate exceptional pastoral care and leadership abilities.
An inspiring leader capable of guiding, supporting staff, students, and parents with wisdom and compassion.
Education & ExpertiseA highly experienced educator who brings deep understanding in student wellbeing, behaviour management, and Christian education principles.
Skill Set- Pastoral Care: Understanding of contemporary research and best practice in pastoral care, supporting students facing challenges with compassion.
- Christian Educational Philosophy: A strong grasp of Christian education principles, promoting a Christ-centred culture of care.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead staff, inspire students, and collaborate across a diverse community.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed communication skills building trust and connection.
- Strategic Wellbeing Leadership: Capacity to design, implement, and evaluate innovative wellbeing programs.
- Behaviour Support & Restorative Practice: Skilled in guiding restorative approaches to behaviour management and classroom engagement.
