Senior Policy Advisor

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of policy that makes a tangible difference in the lives of older Australians. As a member of the Policy and Advocacy Team, you will work closely with the Head of Quality and Research on some of the sector's most pressing challenges.

You will be responsible for undertaking deep dives into policy issues, bringing fresh thinking and evidence-based insights to complex challenges. Your key responsibilities will include contributing to policy development and advocacy priorities through government and stakeholder engagement, research and submissions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Undertake diverse and intellectually stimulating policy work that spans across health, aged care and disability
  • Contribute directly to national advocacy – your work will help shape submissions, influence government thinking, and spotlight best practice solutions
  • Work in a culture that values collaboration, flexibility, and initiative, where your ideas and voice will have real impact

The ideal candidate will have experience in policy, research and/or advocacy in the areas of aged care, health, disability or a broader care-related field. You are ready for a role where your ideas, drive and initiative will be noticed. Confident, curious and strategic, you bring the courage to challenge thinking constructively and the drive to deliver meaningful outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong policy engagement skills, including submissions, stakeholder consultation and government relations. You will also need to be able to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
