Job Summary:
Charterhouse Medical is seeking a highly skilled General Medicine Registrar/Advanced Trainee to join our team in Canberra. As a General Medicine Registrar/Advanced Trainee, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our medical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and management of acute presentations to the emergency departments, in-patient care, and outpatient clinics
- Conducting daily Structured Interdisciplinary Bedside Rounds (SIBR)
- Facilitating discharge planning and patient flow
- Mentor and supervision of junior doctors, physician trainees, and resident medical officers
- Opportunity to supervise and perform a variety of ward-based procedures
- Participating in the after-hours and on-call roster
About the Facility:
Our facility is a large teaching hospital with over 650 beds, providing a wide range of services across more than 25 buildings. We cater to a population of over 550,000 and offer a range of medical specialties, including oncology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and more.
Eligibility:
- General, Provisional, or limited registration with AHPRA or eligible to obtain
- IMGs that have completed at least the AMC MCQ (part 1) or completed both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam)
- IMGs eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada, or Ireland)
- IMGs assessed by RACP College as partially or substantially comparable
