Project Engineer Role

This is a key position that oversees the entire project lifecycle, from concept to execution within an operating factory environment.

  • Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of plant, products, and personnel during implementation.
  • Preliminary analysis is conducted for projects including building, utilities, services, equipment, and layout.
  • The installation of equipment is supervised, and responsibility for budget and scope is maintained.
  • Site technical drawings and documentation are updated or created as needed.
  • Basic and detailed design of projects is executed based on defined user requirements specifications, Nestle Corporate Business Principles, and Nestle standards.
  • Safety by design is ensured during both construction and ongoing operation of plant.
  • Leading and coordinating contributions from all stakeholders to implement projects in accordance with defined timing, cost, and quality is essential.
  • Efforts are coordinated with start-up managers and their teams to ensure smooth transitions to operations after qualification and verification of installations have been finalized.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary study in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Automation, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the engineering field is preferred.
  • Project Management skills, including analytical and budgetary skills, are necessary.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Leadership requires a proven track record of delivering results through collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality, are essential.
  • Self-management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactive tracking of these metrics, is also important.
