Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Geoscientist to join our Marine Consulting team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in analyzing and interpreting high-quality offshore geo-data to provide accurate and customized advice to clients on their individual project needs.

Your day-to-day duties and focus will include:

  • Leading technical teams related to geology or engineering geology in projects, delegating tasks, guiding team members, and reviewing calculations and reports for accuracy;
  • Taking on the role of Project Manager for Marine Consulting Projects;
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports and proposals in a timely, organized, and accurate manner;
  • Serving as the primary liaison between the project team and the client, handling communications on technical matters;
  • Helping develop project opportunities and identifying markets;
  • Writing and publishing papers, participating in technical development in designated areas and competencies;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience (ideally, 8-10 years') as a consulting Geologist or Geoscientist Engineer within the offshore industry;
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in geology / engineering geology / geoscience / geophysics or a related discipline;
  • Be creative and willing to consider new approaches to solving problems;
  • Good communication skills and ability to perform within interdisciplinary project teams;
