Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Physician

The Polio Service Victoria team is seeking a qualified professional to join our interdisciplinary structure on a fixed term basis to cover LSL until November 2025.

About the Role
  • As a rehabilitation physician, you will work within a flexible structure that ensures client needs are met to receive 'the right treatment in the right place at the right time'.
  • You will provide medical leadership in the management of late effects of polio and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop a management strategy for patient care.
  • A key feature of PSV is delivery of regional clinics multiple times per year. During this tenure, you would ideally be available to attend one overnight clinic with the interdisciplinary team in October 2025. Flexible working arrangements may be negotiated, including telehealth attendance.
  • The role is based at St Vincent's Hospital, Fitzroy. This position involves up to 12 hours per fortnight (negotiable) with alternating weeks.
Your Expertise
  • Specialist registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia/AHPRA
  • Relevant specialist qualification or equivalent
  • Active participation in continuing professional development
  • Experience managing people with a history of polio is preferred
  • Current National criminal history check or willingness to obtain Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
