Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Trust Accountant to manage trust accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and handle accounts receivable and payable. The ideal candidate will possess excellent financial acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage trust accounts, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, trust receipts/payments, and other financial tasks.
  • Handle all accounts receivable and accounts payable, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare Receipts & Expenditure statements, providing valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Data entry and management, ensuring seamless integration with accounting software.
  • Creditor payments, petty cash, processing invoices, and other essential financial duties.
  • End of month roll over and reports, delivering timely and accurate financial updates.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in trust accounts is essential, with a proven track record of success.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is highly valued, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial principles.
  • Previous experience in the real estate/property industry is highly regarded, showcasing expertise in this niche.
  • Knowledge of accounting software, including Xero & MYOB, is crucial for efficient financial management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and financial acumen, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
